ECM Equity L/S Investor

I'm partnering with an established ECM focused hedge fund in London who are searching for an ECM L/S Investor.
The fund offers autonomy and a highly generous performance related bonus structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, analyse, and recommend trade ideas across ECM-related opportunities (IPOs, secondaries, blocks, rights issues, etc.)
- Conduct detailed fundamental and event-driven analysis to support investment theses.
- Build and maintain financial models, valuation frameworks, and trade performance tracking.
- Monitor market developments, syndicate activity, and investor flows to identify actionable ideas.
- Collaborate with the broader investment team to integrate ECM insights into portfolio construction and risk management.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience
in
Equity Capital Markets
, or equity L/S investing with a strong ECM component. - Proven ability to generate returns or contribute positively to fund PnL through ECM-related investments.
- Deep understanding of deal dynamics, syndicate processes, and investor behaviour in primary and secondary offerings.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
