Mathnasium Lead Instructors are dynamic, enthusiastic individuals, they possess natural leadership and strong organisational skills needed to support operations in a thriving learning centre. This will be achieved through competent instructional direction, empathetic parent communication, inspirational staff leadership and effective administration, but most of all you must have a great rapport with your students.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer the Mathnasium curriculum, deliver with confidence and energy, confidently role modelling how to teach students using the Mathnasium Method
  • Administer assessments to students, accurately evaluating results to determine learning gaps
  • Effectively lead the team through positive reinforcement, strong teamwork and clear communication, working collaboratively to ensure every student makes progress
  • Redirect instructional staff to re-engage distracted students or students needing attention
  • Balance instructional responsibilities and manage instructional floor duties effectively by providing exceptional individual instruction while leading the instructional floor
  • Positively manage behaviour and resolve student progress issues escalated by Instructors
  • Provide exceptional customer service by professionally articulating students' progress and needs to ensure parents and students feel supported and valued
  • Ensure student folders are kept up to date with new materials and filing completed.
  • Identifying student absence on a weekly basis and communicating back to parents the importance of regular attendance for continuity of attendance and good progress. Also taking the opportunity to answer any questions they may have.
  • Assisting the Centre Manager keep in contact with parents on a monthly basis by regular care calls.
  • To support staff induction, training and continuous professional development

Hours required

  • 4 work days: pm;

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Exceptional maths skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service focus
  • Passion for working with students
  • Ability to professionally interact with students and parents
  • Energetic, fun and confident personality

Preferred:

  • Previous educational or tutoring experience
  • Strong A Level Maths or Higher Education qualification
  • Previous experience of leading a team

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12 hour

  • A-Level Maths (Grade A) gap year, graduate or previous education experience
