About the Role
We are seeking ambitious and innovative AI Engineers to join our growing technology team. This role is open to both early-career technologists with foundational AI/ML knowledge and experienced engineers with deep expertise in building intelligent systems. As a remote AI Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, deploy, and optimise machine learning and AI-driven solutions that support key business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, train, test, and optimise machine learning models and AI-enabled applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify AI-driven opportunities.
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and model deployment workflows.
- Work with large datasets, performing data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data analysis.
- Integrate models into production using MLOps best practices.
- Monitor and maintain model performance, addressing drift, bias, and reliability issues.
- Document AI workflows, experiments, and deployment processes.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 0–15 years of experience in AI engineering, machine learning, or data science roles.
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, statistical modelling, and AI principles.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis using libraries such as Pandas or NumPy.
- Familiarity with building and training models, evaluating performance metrics, and handling real-world datasets.
- Understanding of API development and model integration.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services.
- Knowledge of MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with LLMs, vector databases, RAG, and generative AI workflows.
- Familiarity with data engineering tools (Spark, Airflow, Databricks).
- Exposure to NLP, computer vision, or recommendation systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and production deployment.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Must have valid eligibility to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
