We're looking for a Product Owner with a strong technical background and proven experience delivering digital financial products to join our Castle team at N Brown. As a member of the Castle team, you'll bridge technology and business, leading the creation of digital solutions that redefine financial services. Working in an agile environment and embracing DevOps within a team comprised of full time team members, supplemented by nearshore and offshore people.

Your role as Digital Product Owner here at N Brown;

  • Own the end-to-end product experience for a key area (e.g. Originations, Account Management, Collections), involving multiple stakeholders
  • Translate business goals, customer needs, and regulatory requirements into clear, prioritised product backlogs.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver high-quality digital financial products.
  • Understanding of product market fit and the iterative process to creating products
  • Act as the go-to expert for your product area, championing its features and value.
  • Champion security, scalability, and compliance as core aspects of product design.
  • Define user stories with acceptance criteria, ensuring technical clarity and business value.
  • Support Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, refinement, reviews, retros) to enable efficient delivery.
  • Use data and analytics to inform product decisions, track performance, and measure value delivery.
  • Co-ordinate end to end product testing through to acceptance.
  • Create and own OKRs which align to the product/business strategy
  • Drive the acceptance and adoption of ideas and improvements with product and technology stakeholders
  • In collaboration with the business owners, present to other areas of the business (monthly showcase/quarterly business review) on my product with a focus on value delivered
  • Balance short-term delivery priorities with long-term product scalability and innovation.

What you will need to succeed;

  • Knowledge and experience of product ownership / product management best practice & methodologies
  • Solid technical awareness-APIs, integrations, data flows, cloud-based platforms, and modern software delivery practices.
  • Proven success managing complex products and delivering measurable value for stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, metrics, and user insights to guide decisions.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and risk considerations in product design.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on usability, accessibility, and creating value.
  • Clear communicator able to translate complex technical concepts into simple business language.
  • Effective at stakeholder management – the right people know the right level of information
  • Strong working knowledge of tools and techniques for backlog prioritisation, dependency management, and data-driven insight.
  • Knowledge and experience of software development methodologies and processes
  • Proactive, adaptable, and motivated to drive innovation in a fast-moving fintech environment.

Ways of Working

We offer hybrid working which varies across the business depending on the role you're in.. Our Head Office is located in the Northern Quarter in Manchester City Centre. So if you are travelling by train, tram or bus we're perfectly located, plus we're surrounded by cool cafes, trendy bars and the best places to eat

Our full-time working hours are 36.17 per week over 5-days. We don't have strict working hours therefore there is some flexibility around start and finish times as long as you are meeting the needs of the business.
