Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and vehicle care. Experience with flatbed and commercial driving is highly desirable, along with a strong commitment to customer service and road safety. Responsibilities
- Safely operate refridgerated box trailers to deliver goods across designated routes
- Ensure all cargo is securely fastened and complies with safety regulations before transit
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel consumption
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery statuses or any issues encountered during transit
- Adhere strictly to all road safety laws, traffic regulations, and company policies at all times
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record, preferably with a category C+E (articulated lorry) licence
- Proven experience in commercial driving
- Delivery driver experience is essential, demonstrating punctuality and reliability in meeting deadlines
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for cargo securement
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
- Good communication skills and professional attitude towards clients and team members
- Physical fitness to load/unload goods when necessary and perform routine vehicle checks
