Housekeeper/Cleaner

The Role:

The opportunity has arisen for a part-time (15hrs per week) Cleaner / Housekeeper to join our team in our Therapeutic Children's Home in Seaford. The successful candidate will work under the direction of our Home Manager to ensure that the home is always clean and fit for purpose.

Hours can be flexible across Monday - Friday or for Mon/Wed/Fri each week.

· Excellent communication skills.

• Self-motivated and Well Organised.
• To have empathy and compassion.
• To be polite, caring and understanding of the young people.
• To be aware of the Home's policies and to carry them out.
• To be aware of the need for confidentiality.
• Able to work alone and use own initiative.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• To promote Health and Safety.
• To implement regular and thorough cleaning programmes.
• To report any repairs or maintenance needed within the home.
• To document accurately and clearly all records of work.
• To help create and maintain a homely environment.

Desirable:

· Housekeeping: 1 year (preferred).

• Experience of working in a caring environment.
• On the DBS update service.

This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender's act. All successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS and reference checks.
