Job Summary:
We are looking for a practical, detail-oriented individual to join our workshop team as a Bedroom fitter on a subcontractor basis. This hands-on role involves the precise preparation and assembly of sliding wardrobes ensuring every product meets our high-quality standards.
About the Role
We're looking for a skilled and reliable Fitter to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for installing high-quality wardrobes and associated furniture in customers' homes and commercial spaces. You'll take pride in delivering an excellent finish and ensuring every installation meets the customer's exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble sliding and hinged wardrobes, h-bar, tracks, wheels, and MFC panels
- Operate power tools and machinery safely and accurately
- Check components for quality and correct measurements before final assembly
- Load and unload deliveries of materials and finished goods
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
- Follow technical drawings and cutting lists
- Work as part of a team to meet production deadlines
- Assist with general workshop duties as required
- Adhere to health & safety policies and procedures
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Experience working in a workshop or manufacturing environment
- Confident using woodworking tools and machinery
- Ability to read and interpret measurements and technical drawings
- Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
- Previous experience working with sliding wardrobe systems, cabinetry or carpentry
- FLT license or experience operating forklifts/pallet trucks
- Basic knowledge of materials such as glass, mirror, and MFC
- Own van prefered
