About the Team

As an individual contributor operating within a highly matrixed and global organization, this role functions as the essential 'bridge builder', driver and strategic orchestrator. The Senior Principal will execute the ambitious CX AI strategy by establishing deep trust and partnership with cross-functional experts in Engineering, UX/Design, Content Development, Business Architecture, and Go-to-Market teams. In the future, you may be asked to lead a global team across multiple time zones ensuring proper prioritization, alignment, quality and speed. The role reports to the SVP of Education as a direct.

About the Role

You will act as a key partner and stakeholder across the business, influencing and creating collaborative partnerships across our matrixed organization, translating the AI strategy into concrete, prioritized roadmaps across multiple dimensions (people, process & technology).

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Product Leadership:
  • Define and Deliver the CX AI Learning Strategy: Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for ungating learning and other CX content to promote easier and greater fluency in how Workday's products are used and maintained. 

  • AI Personalized Learning & Content Curation: Responsible for creating and curating content to be consumed in the public sphere, presenting our AI Personalized Learning tool, and ensuring content is consumable and indexed by search engines/aggregators.

  • Commercialization & Scalable Growth: Pioneer new business models and commercialization strategies for our educational subscription services, whilst defining the approach for transforming Workday's content delivery.

Technical & Execution Expertise:
  • Leading Digital Transformation: Accountable for large-scale digital product transformations leveraging advanced strategic and agile methodologies. Managing product backlogs to drive growth through customer-centric innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Cross-Functional Bridge Building: Act as a bridge and key partner, collaborating with the matrixed team and technical delivery partners. 

  • Platform Ownership & Optimization: Bring your subject matter expertise in owning and managing educational platforms, including a strong understanding of the technical approach and systems required for content approval. Prioritize new features based on their potential to generate revenue and enhance user efficiency; design solutions focused on increasing revenue, decreasing operational cost, and optimizing the end-to-end customer journey.

Stakeholder & Customer Advocacy:
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to influence stakeholders and drive complex collaboration across a global matrix.

  • Customer Experience (CX) Optimization: Ability to analyze and radically improve the customer journey. Understand the customer needs and market dynamics to identify opportunities for transformation.

About You

  • Deep Product Leadership Experience (12+ years): Successfully directing digital offerings from inception to large scale.

  • Expertise in AI and Learning Technology: Demonstrated experience driving innovation with AI for user experience, specifically in the context of AI educational technology platforms.

  • Commercial Acumen: Experience developing and executing new commercialization approaches for learning/subscription services, focused on driving revenue and scalable growth.

  • Data-Driven Approach & Decision Making: Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to inform product development, prioritize features based on revenue/usability impact, and optimize resource allocation.

  • Extensive Technical Product Ownership: Practical expertise in the technical approach and systems required for content platforms, ensuring stability and compliance.

  • Agile Execution: Expertise in modern, iterative product development methodologies and continuous deployment practices.

  • Cross-Functional Skills: Stakeholder engagement and cross-team collaboration, coordinating large, global projects across business, development, and technical delivery partners.

  • User/Customer Advocacy: Serve as the principal user advocate with a relentless focus on CX optimization to reduce friction and improve user fluency.

  • Growth-Oriented Mindset: A self-driven individual with a high degree of curiosity, empathy and a fast continuous learner, focused on ambitious accomplishment and growth.
