Creston Games is an independent game studio dedicated to crafting unique multiplayer experiences that bring players together.
We're currently working on a cooking-themed, semi-open world multiplayer game, built with care to offer players rich co-op gameplay and dynamic environments. Job Description
As a
Senior Environment Artist
, you'll be responsible for creating high-quality, immersive environments while collaborating with the team to maintain a cohesive artistic vision. You will take co-ownership of asset creation, scene assembly, and optimization, contributing directly to the visual quality and performance of the game across platforms.
This role is hands-on and requires a proactive, experienced artist who can work independently, while also supporting other team members with guidance and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality stylized 3D environment assets (buildings, landscapes, props, etc.).
- Assemble, polish, and optimize environments in Unity for PC, mobile, and console.
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Director and fellow artists to maintain artistic consistency.
- Ensure environments are visually appealing, performant, and support gameplay.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on other artists' assets when needed.
- Suggest and implement improvements to environment pipelines and workflows.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Environment Artist in stylized or semi-realistic games.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality environment art, scene building, and composition.
- Proficiency with 3D tools such as Blender, Maya, or similar.
- Solid understanding of texturing, shading, lighting, and optimization techniques.
- Experience working in Unity or a similar engine.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong artistic vision and attention to detail.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in modular environment creation and large scene optimization.
- Knowledge of VFX, simple shaders, or lighting techniques to enhance mood.
- Interest in cooking-themed games or cultural storytelling.
- Prior experience working in remote or international teams.
