Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Pizza Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with specific expertise in pizza-making and dough preparation. As a key member of the kitchen, you will be responsible for making fresh dough daily and overseeing the pizza section, ensuring that every pizza meets our high standards of taste, texture, and presentation. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
  • Take full charge of the pizza section, including making fresh dough, preparing toppings, and baking pizzas to perfection.
  • Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and execute meal preparation efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies for the pizza section, placing orders as necessary.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in pizza-making techniques and food safety practices.
  • Maintain a well-organised kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
  • Assist in menu development by providing input on new pizza recipes, seasonal dishes, and specials.
  • Serve dishes with attention to presentation and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Strong culinary skills with expertise in pizza-making, dough preparation, and food presentation.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
  • A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new recipes is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience serving or interacting with customers is an advantage.

Pay: £12.21-£14.22 per hour
