Overview

We are seeking a Trainee Safety and Compliance Administrator to support the organisation's health, safety, and compliance functions while gaining practical experience and formal training in risk assessment and safety management. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to develop a career in health and safety.

Main Duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain and organise filing systems for all safety and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in managing the training system, run compliance reports, and track completion.
  • Monitor non-compliance actions and ensure they are addressed, with reports communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Update incident logs and assist with corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Track Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims and support the collection of payments.
  • Help prepare safety notices, awareness materials, and internal communications.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Assist with administration and six-monthly reviews of Business Continuity Plans.
  • Maintain and update contractor lists, distributing to sites as required.
  • Help coordinate occupational health visits, maintain records, and follow up on actions.

Experience :

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools.
  • Proven experience in nursing, public health, or related healthcare fields is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to teach or train diverse audiences effectively in both formal and informal settings
  • Strong public speaking skills with the capacity to engage audiences of varying sizes
  • Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to health and safety contexts
  • Experience developing educational materials related to nutrition or wellness is advantageous
  • Prior experience working within organisational safety programmes or occupational health environments is preferred
