We are a small transport company looking for a fit, enthusiastic, positive individual to add to our team. On a day to day basis your duties will be to complete a vehicle inspection, ensure your PDA device is ready and working, then complete your full days work to be best of your ability.

The work involves manual handing white goods (EG washing machines, fridge freezers, American style fridge freezers, TV's, tumble dryers). Some of our customers pay for installation/recycling of old appliances, which would include plumbing/un-plumbing washing machines, reversing doors of fridge freezers, removing doors of American style fridges to allow them to pass through door frames etc and installing TV's to a stand. All training and equipment is provided. You will be DBS checked so any criminal convictions may impact your ability to work with us. You will also need to complete a free in-house induction. This is done from home on Microsoft Teams. We operate the route as 2-man so you will have a porter with you who will generally complete installations, you will be his helping hand

The rota and days to be worked would be 5 on 3 off as we operate 7 days a week. This shift gives everyone a rotation of weekends. Wages are dependent on performance. We offer a basic daily rate of £150 however this can be increased to £160 providing all performance scores/claims are where they need to be. This is a £10 per day bonus worked out by a monthly basis on scores

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle to transport goods to designated locations

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle

- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers

- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

- Assist with loading and unloading of goods as needed

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle

Qualifications:

- Valid 7.5-tonne driving license (C1 category)

- Proven experience in commercial driving

- Excellent driving record with no traffic violations

- Ability to drive efficiently and safely in various road conditions

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills:

- Box lorry driving experience

- Commercial driving experience

- Proficient in driving larger vehicles

- Previous experience as a delivery driver
