Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Utility Detection Surveyor based in the Greater Portsmouth Area, with the flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Utility Detection Surveyor will perform field surveys, utilizing modern equipment and technology to detect and map underground utilities. Responsibilities include interpreting utility plans, preparing survey reports, ensuring survey accuracy, and maintaining equipment. Collaborating with teams across various disciplines, the role requires adherence to health and safety standards and delivering high-quality services for diverse projects.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in operating utility detection equipment such as Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electromagnetic Locators (EML).
  • Experience in interpreting utility plans and delivering accurate survey data.
  • Knowledge of utility mapping, geophysics, and topographic and land surveying practices.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations for fieldwork.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in team settings.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in using digital tools for report creation and data analysis.
  • Full UK driving license is essential.
  • Prior experience in utility surveying and relevant certifications are highly desirable.
