Clifton Nurseries are looking for a number of Catering Assistants to work in our busy cafe and kitchen. You'll be working in a small, friendly team who are passionate about delivering great food and service to our customers in London's oldest and most beautiful garden centre.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food preparation at the counter or in the kitchen and serving customers at tables

  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and organized environment

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient food service

  • Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and notify management when items need to be restocked

  • Assist in cleaning The Cafe equipment, utensils, and front of house areas

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred but not required

  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices and procedures

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
