Role description:
We currently have a vacancy for an experienced water engineer in our Water Management Design & Engineering team. With office locations across the UK, we are flexible with respect to the applicant's location and offer hybrid working arrangements.
Arcadis's UK Water Management Design & Engineering group has an increasing and diverse portfolio of clients and projects covering the water environment (e.g Environment Agency, Network Rail, Canal & River Trust, Natural Resources Wales) in the UK and internationally, regulated water (water & sewerage companies), and providing services to the wider global Arcadis business, construction companies and private developers working. We provide our design and consultancy services to these clients and partners through our network of offices across the UK and being co-located in client and partner offices.
Role accountabilities:
The ideal candidate should be an experienced water engineer that is able to demonstrate competence in some or all the following key areas:
- Design, construction and / or maintenance of reservoir, canal and river engineering or flood defence works.
- Hydraulic design of reservoir outlet structures or river engineering.
- Scour assessments and design of mitigation measures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor in Civil Engineering or similar discipline.
- Chartered Engineer or commitment to working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer professional status.
- Design or construction related experience within the UK Civil Engineering sector.
- Good interpersonal skills and being an effective communicator.
- Self-motivation and be adaptable to evolving project challenges.
- Knowledge and experience of BIM led design and Civils 3D.
- A desire to mentor and develop graduate engineers
