Role Title: Zund Operator

Reporting to: Production Manager

Main Place of Work: BDH Tullford, Norwich, NR1 2EN

Hours: 40 hours per week

Monday to Friday:

08:30 - 17:30 (unpaid 60-minute break)

Role Overview

Zund Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Zund cutting equipment to deliver precise, high-quality cuts of various materials. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to follow design specifications accurately. The position is full-time and permanent, contributing directly to the smooth running of our print and point-of-sale production processes.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

· Operate and maintain Zund cutting machinery to ensure accurate production of components.

· Interpret design specifications and execute precise cuts according to requirements.

· Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure equipment is kept in optimal condition.

· Ensure all output meets quality control standards consistently.

· Collaborate with the production team to maintain workflow efficiency and meet deadlines.

Essential Skills and Attributes

· Strong attention to detail and precision when handling materials and executing cuts.

· Ability to follow design specifications accurately and consistently.

· Troubleshooting and basic maintenance skills to support equipment functionality.

· Reliability and motivation to work full-time shifts, including overtime when required.

Desirable Skills

· Prior experience operating Zund cutting machines.

· Knowledge of different materials and their properties to optimize cutting performance.

· Understanding of print and point-of-sale production processes.

General:

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, quality, and security policies, and standards, and escalate any issues to the Production Manager as required. Adhere to company procedures, including waste disposal, and maintain the highest standards in all activities. Participate in team meetings as requested and take responsibility for personal professional growth by identifying training and development opportunities through regular reviews and ongoing dialogue with your line manager.
