Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Immigration Solicitor to join this esteemed firm in London. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of UK immigration law and regulations, with a proven track record of successfully managing a diverse caseload. Key Responsibilities: Client Representation: Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients on a wide range of immigration matters, including visa applications, asylum claims, deportation proceedings, and appeals. Case Management: Manage a caseload of immigration matters efficiently and effectively, ensuring deadlines are met and clients receive timely updates on their cases. Legal Research: Stay abreast of changes to immigration law and policy, conducting legal research as needed to support client cases and provide informed advice. Client Consultations: Conduct client consultations to assess their immigration needs, provide tailored advice, and develop strategies to achieve their immigration goals. Document Preparation: Prepare and review legal documents, including visa applications, appeals, witness statements, and court submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements. Court Representation: Represent clients in immigration hearings, tribunals, and court proceedings, advocating on their behalf and presenting compelling arguments to support their cases. Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed of case progress, responding to inquiries promptly, and providing clear explanations of legal issues and processes. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues within the firm, including paralegals and support staff, to ensure seamless delivery of legal services and optimal outcomes for clients. Business Development: Contribute to business development initiatives, including networking events, seminars, and marketing campaigns, to attract new clients and promote the firm's immigration services. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, professional standards, and ethical obligations, maintaining the highest level of integrity and professionalism in all interactions. Requirements  Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate issued by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). Demonstrable experience practising immigration law, with a minimum of 2 years of post -qualification experience. Thorough knowledge of UK immigration legislation, rules, and procedures, including experience with Points -Based System applications, human rights law, and asylum law. Strong advocacy skills, with experience representing clients in immigration tribunals, courts, and other legal forums. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively to clients, colleagues, and judicial authorities. Exceptional analytical and problem -solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail and the ability to assess complex legal issues and develop effective strategies. Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively, prioritise tasks, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines. Commitment to providing high -quality client service with empathy, professionalism, and discretion.
