Role Overview
As an Estimator/ Project Manager, you will support the commercial and operational teams by preparing accurate quotations, assessing tender documents, analysing technical drawings, and contributing to commercial decision-making across a wide range of fire protection projects. You'll play a key part in AFT Group's continued success, ensuring we price competitively, deliver compliantly, and maintain our reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing tender documentation, drawings and specifications
- Preparing accurate, well-structured estimates and quotations
- Working with commercial and operational managers to produce pricing strategies
- Supporting bid submissions, client proposals and commercial reporting
- Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers for material rates and technical information
- Evaluating risk, value engineering options and commercial opportunities
- Maintaining and developing internal estimating systems and processes
- Supporting the wider team on contract variations, cost analysis and performance data
- Contributing to the growth of a highly respected fire protection provider
- Managing own workloads
- Hands on Project Management - Meeting clients on-site and building relationships
What We're Looking For
- Experience in estimating or quantity surveying (desirable, not essential)
- A structured, analytical and detail-driven approach
- Strong numerical, commercial and IT skills
- Excellent communication and report-writing ability
- A willingness to learn, develop and progress
- Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines and take ownership
- A genuine interest in fire protection, building safety and compliance
- Degree-level qualification in construction, surveying, engineering or related field (ideal but not essential)
