Accounting Professional (Part Time and Temporary)

Seco Tools UK is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented General Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team on a part-time, temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative environment where your expertise will support accurate financial reporting, inventory accounting, and robust internal controls. Whether you're looking to broaden your experience or bring your skills to a new challenge, this hybrid role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working closely with the UK Finance Manager and wider business stakeholders.

About the Role

As the General Accounting Specialist, you will support the UK Finance Manager in delivering accurate financial reporting, managing inventory accounting, and strengthening compliance and internal controls. This hybrid role involves preparing monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and providing Finance support for business decision making. The ideal candidate will have strong business partnering skills, excellent IT proficiency and be qualified or part-qualified with ACCA or CIMA.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A strong understanding of accounting and core finance processes.
  • Experience with month-end close activities, journal preparation, and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Infor M3 and Power BI is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills to support the UK Management team.
