As the Warehouse Operations Manager in Northampton, you'll be at the heart of our distribution operation, leading a busy warehouse team, streamlining processes, and ensuring we deliver excellence to every customer, every day.

What you'll do

In this role, no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing your warehouse team to achieve high performance
  • Overseeing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching stock
  • Ensuring health & safety standards are met across all areas of the warehouse
  • Managing stock control, inventory accuracy, and warehouse systems
  • Monitoring performance through KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinating with delivery teams to ensure efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
  • Recruiting, onboarding, and developing new warehouse staff
  • Collaborating with head office and other branches to align warehouse operations with company goals
  • Implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and optimise costs

We're looking for someone hands-on, organised, and energetic, who can lead by example while keeping the bigger picture in mind.

Who we're looking for

You'll be a great fit if you have:

  • Proven experience managing a warehouse or logistics operation (flooring, trade, or retail sectors a bonus)
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Experience with stock management, inventory systems, and process optimisation
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • A strong understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Financial awareness, including budgeting and cost control
  • Flexibility to handle occasional operational demands outside standard hours
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels
