Technical Product Manager (TPM)
London – Hybrid
Type: Permanent
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Manager (TPM) who combines strong technical acumen with strategic product management expertise in Data Architecture, and DevOps/DevSecOps. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of working closely with CTOs and VP-level engineering leaders, translating complex technical challenges into scalable product strategies and delivering high-impact platform solutions.

This role requires a unique blend of technical depth, business understanding, and leadership, ideal for someone who can navigate architectural discussions, influence engineering roadmaps, and align cross-functional teams toward a unified product vision.

Experience in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) domain—with a strong grasp of compliance, security, and regulatory frameworks—is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with the CTO, VP of Engineering, and senior leadership to define, prioritize, and execute the product and platform strategy.
  • Technical Leadership: Understand and articulate complex technical concepts, system architecture, and integration challenges to ensure alignment between product goals and engineering execution.
  • Platform Development: Drive the creation and evolution of core technology platforms and services that enable scalable product innovation and cross-functional capabilities.
  • Roadmap Ownership: Define and manage product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technical feasibility, and resource constraints.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with engineering, design, compliance, and operations teams to deliver impactful and technically robust solutions.
  • Requirements Definition: Translate business and customer needs into detailed product requirements and user stories with a strong technical foundation.
  • Execution Oversight: Work with engineering leadership to manage product development cycles, track milestones, and ensure timely, high-quality releases.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: (Nice to have) Leverage understanding of BFSI regulations, data privacy, and compliance frameworks to ensure all platform and product initiatives meet required standards.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Define KPIs to measure platform performance, adoption, and ROI, presenting progress to executive stakeholders.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in product management or technical product roles.
  • Prior experience reporting directly to a CTO or VP of Engineering.
  • Proven ability to work with senior engineering leaders to build platforms or technical products at scale.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, APIs, data platforms, or distributed systems.
  • Hands-on background or deep familiarity with Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, or GCP (infrastructure, networking, and cloud-native tools), Data Architecture (data platforms, ETL pipelines, data governance, and analytics integration) and DevOps/DevSecOps (CI/CD, infrastructure as code (IaC), automation, monitoring, and security)
  • Advocate for best practices in DevOps and DevSecOps
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to balance long-term vision with pragmatic delivery

(Nice To Have)

  • Experience in BFSI, fintech, or other regulated industries, with familiarity in compliance, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC 2, GDPR).
