Who we're looking for
The Product Specialist – Analytics & Reporting role will champion and support Platform Services interests in new product development & innovation (relating to Fund Operations, Analytics and Reporting functionality), considering external factors, such as regulation and market trends, which will impact the future service catalogue of the related modules. You will understand the areas' service catalogues at a detailed level and have a strong appreciation of the capabilities, constraints and capacity of the area which will ensure the ongoing integrity of the Service Catalogue is maintained.
You will be involved in the genesis stage of any new product or innovation that impacts the Analytics, Reporting and Fund Operations capabilities within the Quality Assurance, Client Mandate Lifecycle, and Schroder Fund Mandates modules across Platform Services, and ensure the interests of the Platform Services area are considered.
You will also work collaboratively with the Platform Support & Control, Change modules and processing teams, to ensure any planned product or innovation changes are moved from concept to implementation in a coherent and consistent manner, minimizing operational risk to the business and complimentary to the Service Catalogue and key principles of modularisation.
The module will include Accounting Control, Performance & Attribution analytics, client and regulatory reporting, and Fund Operations functions including NAV administration and transfer agency. You will support development of the relevant modules and the future roadmap, as well as help define the product vision, reduce platform complexity, drive platform innovation and prioritise features that drive business value.

What you'll do
- Contribute towards the overall Analytics & Reporting product design, roadmap and goals for the module.
- Collate and maintain the Service Catalogue for Analytics & Reporting from inception and identify opportunities for enhancements.
- Contribute to the product vision that articulates the long-term goals and strategic direction for aspects within the product.
- Effectively communicate the vision to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and understanding of the objectives and priorities.
- Embed yourself in product development at the start of concept design to advocate for the interest of Platform Services. Facilitate discussions and input that ensure operational considerations are integrated into design from the outset, promoting smoother execution and implementation.
- Cultivate strong relationships across the organisation to foster collaboration, address concerns, and ensure that all relevant perspectives are considered in decision-making processes.
- Ensure that all impacts are considered throughout any product innovation or changes which might introduce increases to the risk profile.
- Attend workshops with vendors / Service providers / Product Management / Schroders Stakeholders to agree priorities for Schroders.
- Engage with Platform Services to understand enhancement requests. Perform required analysis and document enhancement request using appropriate templates.
- Represent your key stakeholders at change prioritisation meetings.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with strategic 3rd parties.
- Assist with approved and prioritised projects within Platform Change as directed by the Global Product Owner – Analytics & Reporting.
- Work closely with the Change teams to successfully implement strategic projects.
What you'll be like
- Experience working in the Fund Operations area with experience in Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Portfolio Accounting or Performance areas also beneficial.
- A broad understanding of either Accounting Control, Performance, Reporting, Regulatory Reporting or Fund Operations, including processes, the regulatory frameworks under which these functions operate, best practices and challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective dissemination of the vision for the product to all levels within the organisation. Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Strong analytical skills, creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a pragmatic approach to overcoming challenges.
- Experienced at helping to drive Change projects through to implementation.
- Must be structured in your approach, driven and have a 'can-do' attitude.
- Proficient at managing relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Ability to manage the product design process/ process augmentation from conception to implementation.
- Proven background in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new concepts and domains whilst maintaining high performance.
- Excellent aptitude for problem-solving, especially in handling abstract or complex challenges.
- Flexibility in adapting to change, with a proactive approach to addressing emerging challenges and seizing opportunities.
- Willingness and ability to increase knowledge and understanding across over Product areas.
