The Role – Cover Supervisor / Supply Teacher

As a Cover Supervisor, you will support teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4 during teacher absences. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering pre-prepared work across a range of secondary subjects
• Managing behaviour and maintaining a purposeful learning environment
• Engaging and motivating students to complete classwork
• Supporting the school's behaviour and safeguarding expectations
• Ensuring continuity of learning across all year groups

This role is perfect for individuals exploring teacher training, pastoral support, or wider educational pathways such as Behaviour Mentor, Learning Support Assistant, or HLTA.

About You – What We're Looking For

We are seeking adaptable, professional, and confident individuals who enjoy working with young people.

Key Requirements:

• Experience working with young people or in a school environment (preferred)
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
• Recent, checkable references
• QTS or teaching qualifications welcomed but not essential
