THE ROLE

As part of the global leadership team, the Global Lead of Sales Operations is a critical link to executing the company strategy through the Global Sales organization. This role reports to the CFO and is responsible for driving and supporting sales processes, productivity and pipeline metrics, rules of engagement, sales compensation strategy and administration, territory management, order processing and sales forecasting. This is a highly visible position and a unique opportunity for a motivated and talented person to contribute to a winning team, while also gaining a wealth of exposure to all aspects of Syniti's growing business. The ideal candidate brings both strategic thinking and practical execution.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Work with global sales leadership to define and own sales analytics

  • Create and maintain all reporting used for global demand management and pipeline dashboards, CEO requests and other meetings

  • Conduit with finance, sales & delivery teams to manage pipeline and dependable sales forecast

  • Work proactively to anticipate and resolve process and scale issues to enable internal and external efficiencies in a hyper-growth environment while driving global consistency

  • Work with global sales leadership to develop & manage sales coverage models to ensure alignment with business plan and maximize sales effectiveness.

  • Develop process improvements for overall sales team productivity and efficiency

  • Work with sales team to maintain data integrity in including monitoring, auditing and reporting

  • Manage sales effectiveness metrics and provide recommendations on improvements

  • Own and administer all aspects of global sales incentive compensation plans in partnership with HR

  • Research best practices and recommend compensation plan revisions and/or new plans that drive desired behavior consistent with compensation trends and aligned with business objectives

  • Collaborate with enablement looking at areas of performance

  • Counsel and educate sales representatives and managers on sales plan mechanics, policy and guideline interpretations, and the use of contests or spiffs

  • Work with Finance to manage sales incentive payments to ensure accurate and timely payment of sales incentive compensation

  • Train and assist new sales team members in sales processes and tools to ensure quality on-boarding and conduct refresher training as needed, working with enablement

  • Perform ad hoc sales analysis as needed

  • Present results at regular cadence

WHAT IT TAKES

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Sales Operations in a global high technology industry

  • 7+ years of sales plan construction and incentive compensation experience

  • Advanced knowledge of industry sales effectiveness tools (Salesforce, DiscoverOrg and Marketo)

  • Detailed understanding of sales processes, sales reporting including sale forecasting, as well as territory planning and management

  • Strong written and verbal skills as well as interpersonal and listening skills; ability to communicate about technical matters in layman's terms as well as clearly articulate thoughts, vision and direction

  • Outstanding collaboration skills, with proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders across business lines to accomplish shared goals and manage expectations

  • Excellent work ethic and successful record of on-time project delivery

  • Experienced in presentations to senior executives in sales, finance and/or operations groups

  • Experience in technology industry with both software and services sales processes and motions

  • A positive, can-do, attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves

  • Ability to remain flexible and agile in an ever-changing environment and strong intellectual curiosity to constantly challenge the status quo

  • Ability to own and drive change

  • Coach and develop global team
