Join Our Team as a Trainer / SVQ Assessor (25 hours/week)

Fraser Home Care, a leading care-at-home provider based in Inverness, is expanding its Training & SVQ Centre and seeking a dedicated Trainer / SVQ Assessor to support staff development and qualification delivery.

About the Role

Working closely with the Training & Development Manager, you will:

  • Design, update, and deliver training programmes, or commission external training as needed
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and ensure staff have the skills required for their roles
  • Assess SVQ candidates undertaking SCQF Level 6 & 7 qualifications in Social Services and Healthcare

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum SVQ Level 3 in Social Services & Healthcare
  • At least 2 years' experience in Adult Health & Social Care
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in using computers and presentation software
  • Up-to-date record of CPD / CPL / PRTL
  • Driving Licence and access to own vehicle

Desirable Qualifications (or willingness to work towards):

  • PTLLS / Level 3 Award in Education and Training
  • L&D9D1 Assessor Award
  • Moving and Handling Trainer and/or First Aid Trainer certification

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality training to care and support staff in the community
  • Assess SVQ Level 2 and 3 candidates in Social Services and Healthcare
  • Support the continuous professional development of our workforce
