Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Crypto Recovery Specialist to join our on-site team in the European Union. This role focuses on the recovery of stolen, lost, or inaccessible cryptocurrencies and digital assets through a combination of blockchain forensics, legal action, and strategic asset tracing. You will work closely with legal professionals, forensic analysts, and law enforcement agencies to identify, trace, and recover assets from fraudulent schemes, scams, hacks, and unauthorized transfers.

This position requires in-depth knowledge of blockchain transactions, crypto tracing tools, asset recovery processes, and relevant international regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate complex cases involving stolen, scammed, or lost cryptocurrency assets.
• Conduct deep blockchain analysis to trace asset movements across wallets, exchanges, mixers, and cross-chain bridges.
• Build case files with evidence suitable for legal or law enforcement action.
• Work with crypto exchanges, custodians, and DeFi protocols to pursue freezing and recovery of assets.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies (local and international) to support criminal or civil recovery actions.
• Assist victims of crypto-related fraud by documenting losses, tracing funds, and identifying potential recovery paths.
• Monitor recovery efforts and maintain communication with all stakeholders, including clients and legal teams.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and detailed recovery reports and case notes.
• Stay informed on the evolving landscape of crypto-related fraud, smart contract exploits, and AML/KYC regulations.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must have the legal right to work in the EU and be available for full-time, on-site work.
• Proven experience in crypto recovery, blockchain forensics, or financial fraud investigation.
• Strong understanding of various blockchains (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Solana).
• Proficiency in using blockchain analysis tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, CipherTrace, or Elliptic.
• Knowledge of crypto tracing methodologies, DeFi protocols, and on-chain analytics.
• Familiarity with asset recovery workflows, including legal injunctions, exchange requests, and wallet freezing procedures.
• Solid understanding of crypto wallets, custody solutions, and transaction structures.
• Excellent written communication skills for producing formal reports and legal-ready documentation.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional EU languages are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in crypto forensics or investigation (e.g., Chainalysis Reactor, CCI, CFCS, CAMS).
• Experience in working with legal counsel or law enforcement on asset recovery cases.
• Prior work with victims of fraud, scams, or ransomware involving digital assets.
• Background in cybersecurity, financial crime, or compliance is an advantage.
