Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of band 6 CT Radiographer to work within the busy Radiology Directorate at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

The Band 6 post will be based at University Hospital of Wales (UHW), but could be asked to cover CT service at University Hospital of Llandough (UHL)

The service currently consists of 1x GE Optima, 2x GE Apex and 1X GE Revolution. Working 3X 12.5 hour shifts covering a 7 day service both day and night.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated applicant to join our team and for someone who shares the values of the UHB: where we trust and respect each other, where we take personal responsibility, act with integrity and where we treat people with kindness. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

To provide high quality images in accordance with Radiation Regulations and departmental protocols and procedures.

To provide comprehensive and effective day to day services within the Radiology Directorate. Plan and prioritise workload in area of responsibility.

To ensure that the daily workload is completed in an efficient manner and that all patients are well cared for.

To supervise work of newly qualified and senior radiographers, radiographic assistants, radiographic helpers, radiography students and other students/ staff

To contribute to service development.
