About Finclusion

We're building something different. Finclusion is a new, specialist vehicle finance lender working exclusively with car dealers to help more members access the cars they need. We focus on our members who are often overlooked by mainstream lenders — providing a fast, flexible, and human approach to motor finance.

Our leadership team has deep experience in this sector and is committed to doing things differently: no jargon, no corporate red tape, and no empty promises. Just great service, clear decisions, and meaningful relationships with our dealer partners.

We're at the start of our journey, and this is a rare opportunity to join a business with big ambitions from the ground up.

About the Role

We're looking for a highly skilled and analytical Credit Risk Manager to elevate our strategy and expand a key segment of our business. You'll have a proven track record of achieving outstanding credit results (ideally within the non-prime or auto lending sectors) and will bring a strong and data-driven approach to credit risk management.

This is a pivotal position ideal for an individual passionate about analysing data, capable of translating insights into actionable market strategies, and who excels in dynamic, high-responsibility settings.

You'll elevate our approach to lending decisions and will balance growth objectives with the financial health of our business. Your responsibilities will include analysing and implementing top-tier decision-making processes and automation. You will ensure our strategies align with strong credit outcomes, leveraging data-driven insights and innovative solutions specifically designed for the dynamics of the car finance market.

Strong stakeholder management skills are a must, and you'll be adept at presenting and explaining complex information to both technical and nontechnical staff.

What You'll Be Doing

This will be a varied, interesting and challenging role, which will allow you to help us shape a key area of our business from the ground up. Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Optimising and enhancing our credit risk and affordability strategies
  • Ensuring lending decisions focus on both growth and financial sustainability
  • Analysing data to implement best-in-class decision-making frameworks
  • Utilising advanced automation techniques to support business objectives
  • Tailoring innovative approaches to the unique aspects of the car loan market
  • Collaborating with a dedicated, skilled risk team to innovate credit and affordability strategies, making thoughtful decisions through a practical approach to analytics and data.
  • Developing efficient processes that strike a balance between customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and business objectives
  • Achieving real-world results by enhancing credit performance and lowering arrears rates across the entire risk spectrum
  • Leveraging data and insights to pinpoint trends, shape strategy, and foster ongoing process improvements
  • Ensuring all initiatives comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards, while maintaining a strong commitment to customer fairness

About You

  • You are an ambitious, analytical Credit Risk Manager with experience of shaping, developing and strategies
  • The idea of joining an early-stage, mission driven business appeals to you
  • You are able to contribute on a strategic level, but also get involved in the day-to-day requirements
  • You have working knowledge of SQL and Python or equivalent analytics tools.

This role will form the genesis of our Credit Risk function, so it's imperative that the successful applicant will have proven experience in credit risk management and affordability strategies, proficiency in data-driven decision making and in-depth knowledge of UK bureau data. You'll be familiar with fraud detection techniques, alternative data sources and collections solutions.

We're excited to be recruiting for this role, so if the above strikes a cord with you, and matches your experience, we'd love to hear from you

Why Join Us?

We're a high-growth, mission-driven business looking to make a real difference to our customers and our team. You'll join a small, high impact team that believes in collaboration, continuous improvement, and doing the right thing for our customers, and each other.

  • Be part of a leadership-backed, fast-growth business from day one
  • Gain exposure across sales, operations, marketing, and commercial strategy, not just credit risk
  • Work closely with an experienced leadership team who are committed to your development
  • Shape your career as the business grows with opportunities to progress and expand your role
  • Contribute to a business that values relationships, transparency, and doing the right thing

The successful candidate will not only have a successful and fulfilling career with us but will also receive a fantastic range of benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Semi-annual bonus
  • Benefits package
  • The chance to help build a fast-growing, purpose-driven lender making a real impact
