We're looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to help make lunchtimes a great experience for our pupils. If you enjoy working with children and have a passion for great customer service, this could be the perfect role for you

You must have a valid driving licence and access to a car as this post requires you to pick up meals and transport to another school (6 mile round trip). Mileage will be paid at the agreed NLC rate and you will require work usage on your insurance.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Helping prepare, transport and serve nutritious school meals
  • Setting up and clearing the dining area
  • Washing up and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
  • Supporting the cook with food prep and cooking
  • Following hygiene and safety procedures
  • Completing kitchen paperwork (e.g. cleaning schedules, temperature logs)

What We're Looking For:

  • A caring attitude and a team spirit
  • Good communication skills – especially with children
  • Basic literacy and numeracy
  • Awareness of food hygiene, allergens, and safeguarding
  • Willingness to complete training (e.g. Manual Handling, Food Hygiene)

This is a physically active role in a busy school kitchen, so you'll need to be comfortable with standing, lifting, and working at pace. Flexibility is appreciated, especially during school events.
