The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our close-knit team in Telford. In our small office environment, every individual plays a key role in our success. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with the Directors as well as other team members. Reporting to the Business Support Manager, you'll take a hands-on approach to various administrative and financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage sales and purchase ledgers using Sage 50 Accounts
  • Record bank payments and perform reconciliations for Sterling, Euro and USD accounts
  • Handle general office duties, including scanning and filing documents
  • Answer and direct incoming calls
  • Arrange travel and accommodation bookings
  • Organize vehicle servicing and MOT appointments
  • Coordinate calibration and servicing for office equipment
  • Oversee fire extinguisher servicing and PAT testing for the office
  • Support personnel administration tasks
  • Assist with preparing paperwork for customer orders and shipping
  • Develop an excellent understanding of business operations to contribute effectively to team success

Skills and Experience:

To excel in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous administration experience, within an accounts setting
  • A background in accounting or finance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
  • Solid experience with Sage 50 Accounts
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Information:

This position offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available. The role will be based at our office in Telford, with a supportive team environment. Salary will be paid pro-rata, depending on the agreed number of working hours.

  • Competitive Salary: £27,000 to £32,000 per year (pro-rata based on hours worked)
