An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cottage Delight Production team as a Production Operative. Are you someone who would love to work in a family business with a values-based culture?

Working 40 hours per week, Sunday – Thursday 9.45pm – 6.00am

Your responsibilities:

  • To operate machinery in a safe and competent manner.
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in the production areas.
  • To retrieve and weigh ingredients for production batches following Manufacturing Instructions.
  • Carry out cooking duties in accordance with Manufacturing Instructions.
  • Escalate any issues with Equipment or Process as soon as possible.
  • To ensure the accurate processing of company documentation, such as Control Sheets, Picking lists, Works Orders etc.

Your skills and experience:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following.

  • Food Safety and Hygiene Knowledge: Understanding and adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in following recipes and maintaining quality control.
  • Manual Dexterity: Handling tools and machinery efficiently.
  • Ability to Follow Instructions: Accurately following recipes and production guidelines.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Working effectively with others and communicating clearly.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Troubleshooting equipment issues or production challenges.
  • Basic Math Skills: Measuring ingredients and calculating quantities.
  • Training: On-the-job training is typically provided.
  • Compliance with Health and Safety Standards: Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Being able to adjust to changing tasks and schedules.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role can be beneficial but is not always required.
