The Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring only authorised personnel enter.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
  • Operate and monitor CCTV systems to ensure effective surveillance of the site.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing first aid assistance when necessary.
  • Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and any actions taken.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required during investigations or emergencies.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies to safeguard company assets and property.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while on duty.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is advantageous.
  • Certification in first aid or willingness to obtain certification is desirable.
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with staff and the public.
