Responsibilities
- Safely drive a van or similar vehicle to deliver packages and documents to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any issues encountered during transit.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules and any changes that may occur.
- Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition before each shift.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including sorting packages and preparing items for dispatch.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous.
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during deliveries.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving in dynamic environments.
