The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring access points, maintaining order, and safeguarding staff and visitors. This role requires a confident individual with excellent observational skills and a strong commitment to safety protocols. The position offers an engaging environment where attention to detail and proactive security measures are essential.
Duties
- Monitor entrances and exits to control access, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the premises
- Conduct regular patrols of the venue to maintain security and prevent unauthorised activities
- Utilise CCTV systems to observe activity within and around the premises for suspicious behaviour
- Implement loss prevention strategies by identifying potential theft or misconduct
- Respond swiftly and effectively to any incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid if necessary
- Enforce venue policies and procedures in a courteous yet firm manner
- Record incident reports accurately and thoroughly for future reference
- Assist with crowd control during events or busy periods, ensuring a safe environment for all attendees
Requirements
- Valid first aid certification is essential; additional first aid training will be provided if necessary
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognise potential threats or suspicious activity promptly
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanour
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations diplomatically
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or unsociable hours as required
- Must be physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and respond quickly in emergency situations

Pay: £15.00-£15.01 per hour
