Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Civils Operative based in Horsham. The Civils Operative will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including excavation, trenching, duct installation, reinstatement, and backfilling to support utility infrastructure projects. Additional duties may include operating machinery, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Collaboration with team members and adherence to project timelines are key aspects of this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience in excavation, trenching, and duct installation
  • Knowledge of operating machinery and tools relevant to civil projects
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and safe work practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate efficiently
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Relevant certifications such as CSCS, NPORS, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Previous experience working in telecommunications or utility infrastructure (advantageous)
  • Full UK driving license is required
