Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate full time Nursery Practitioner to join our brand new, beautiful and spacious setting in Hebburn.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in nurturing and developing young minds, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering a stimulating learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Create engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships.
  • Observe and assess children's development, maintaining accurate records of their progress.
  • Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play.
  • Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and organised at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Drive initiatives that support children's emotional and social development.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children and parents.
  • Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Leadership qualities to inspire and guide junior staff members.
  • Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
  • A valid driving licence may be beneficial for transportation purposes but is not mandatory.
