Role:

The Dispense Quality & Innovation Manager (South) is responsible for managing all aspects of draught quality, service standards, and dispense innovation across the UK on-trade. This includes oversight of dispense operations, technical standards, asset management and compliance, while also supporting the research, development, and launch of new draught products and dispense innovations. The role will also support the Stadiums and Events Manager on dispense operations at Budweiser events, stadiums and arenas.

The role ensures that all draught dispense activities meet Budweiser Drinks Dispense specifications and customer expectations, while maintaining compliance with health & safety legislation and industry standards. With responsibility for product quality, equipment innovation, and service provider performance, this role plays a key part in elevating consumer experience, improving brand quality and driving efficiency and sustainability in the dispense supply chain.

Key responsibilities:

Dispense Quality Management

• Lead the national field quality program to ensure the safe, consistent, and high-quality dispense of all Budweiser products.
• Oversee all dispense hygiene operations, liaising with breweries and QC teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
• Manage customer and consumer complaints, conducting root cause analysis and ensuring follow-up actions.

Innovation & Product Development

• Support draught innovation projects, including field trials of new technologies and sustainable equipment solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and suppliers to develop specifications and improve equipment design and reliability.

Technical Standards & Compliance

• Maintain technical standards and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (gas, electrical, environmental).
• Represent the company in industry bodies and forums to align on technical standards and legislation.

Stakeholder Engagement & Training

• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, providing technical expertise, training, and support.

Who we're looking for:

• Exceptional beer dispense quality knowledge.
• 2 to 5 years' experience as a drinks dispense technician or drinks dispense quality technician/manager.
• Exceptional technical knowledge of draught dispense systems, gas systems, and service standards.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance and protection of product integrity. Ideally with microbiological experience in managing hygiene and contamination risks.
• Experience in packaging, or technical operations, ideally within the brewing or food & beverage industry.
• Experience managing national service providers, contractors, and large-scale asset supply chains.
• Proven record of leading innovation or new technology projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ability, both internally and externally.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Food Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
