Lead and scale the ML engineering function at a pioneering AI platform. This strategic role combines hands-on technical leadership with team building, shaping ML architecture, and delivering world-class models. Partner with research and product to translate cutting-edge ML innovation into scalable, production-grade systems, driving impact across advanced engineering.

What you will do:
- Define and evolve the technical roadmap for ML systems—including model architecture, training infrastructure, and deployment practices
- Hire, coach, and manage a world-class ML engineering team
- Remain technically involved—whether prototyping, reviewing architecture, or unblocking the team
The ideal candidate:
- 7+ years experience in ML/AI, including leadership roles in fast-moving technical environments
- Deep fluency in applied machine learning, including physics-focused ML or geometric deep learning
- Proven track record of delivering production ML systems (ideally at a startup or scale-up)
