Unit Role:  Strategic Command develops, generates, operates, integrates unique and pan-Defence capabilities to maintain operational and strategic advantage.

Position Role:   Lead Equipment Support (ES) Subject Matter Expert (SME) focus for all UKSC units for operations and planning with specific responsibilities for:

1. Act as the OPCOM ES SME for all UKSC TLB/HQ.
2. Delegate ES Eng Authorities to subordinate ES personnel in UKSC as directed by ChEng Army/mandated by policy.
3. Provision of ES SME planning advice and guidance for current UKSC activity and support for subordinate organisations.
4. Coordinate pan-Defence stakeholders for the effective delivery of ES for UKSC TLB.
5. Planning and coordination of ES capabilities within the Whole Force Concept in support of contingent operations.
6. SME provision of ES assurance, policy and guidance.
7. Advise on all JAMES and equipment management activities across UKSC TLB.
8.  Provide ES situational awareness to COO and DStrat.
