About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to support our Registered Manager in leading one of our Children's Homes (ages This is a key leadership role, ensuring the home provides the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and therapeutic support.
You will:
- Support the Registered Manager in all aspects of managing the home.
- Lead shifts and oversee daily operations to ensure children are safe, supported, and engaged.
- Supervise and develop team members, embedding Woodford's values and therapeutic model.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Woodford's policies.
- Contribute to care planning, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for children.
- Act as a role model, providing hands-on support and leadership.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 4 years' experience in residential childcare.
- Level 3 Children & Young People's Workforce Residential Diploma plus Level 5 Leadership and Management desirable.
- Experience in a leadership role (e.g. Deputy Manager).
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to work therapeutically with children and young people.
- Calm, approachable, adaptable, and committed to ongoing development.
- Driving licence desirable.
