Duties & Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for:

  • Being an integral part of a Multi-disciplinary team committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for the children and young people we support

  • Carrying out formal and informal assessment of young people aged 2-18 and making basic diagnostic decisions.

  • Setting and evaluating targets, aims and objectives regarding occupational therapy

  • Completing summary reports, assessment report and EHCP contributions as required

  • Carrying out direct and indirect therapy interventions

  • Working with others, including families, teaching staff and other professionals

  • Providing advice to support children with occupational and sensory needs

  • Prioritising and managing caseload with support

  • Maintaining best practice clinical standards as per RCOT and HCPC guidelines

  • Carrying out required administrative duties at our clinic base or at home

  • Working independently, accessing support as needed

Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., RCOT, Health and Care Professions Council).
  • Sensory Integration (Level 3) is advantageous or a willingness to work towards this qualification
  • Proven experience working with a paediatric caseload

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance

Pay: £33,487.00-£40,823.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
