- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with Android application development.
- Experience in front-end or User Interface (UI) development.
- Experience with programming in Kotlin or Java.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with Android platform and app development.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose.

The Android System UI team create sthe interface that users around the world interact with every day, from unlocking their phones to launching apps, toggling WiFi, or replying.Android is Google's mobile operating system powering more than 3 billion devices worldwide. Android is about bringing computing to everyone in the world. We believe computing is a super power for good, enabling access to information, economic opportunity, productivity, connectivity between friends and family and more. Responsibilities
- Build beautiful, performant, accessible UIs using Java and Kotlin.
- Collaborate with User Experience (UX) to prototype, iterate, and refine interaction designs.
- Implement new framework-level Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) as needed.
- Craft custom views, animations, and visual effects.
- Maintain code quality through testing, documentation, and refactoring.
