We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you will provide essential support to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medications according to care plans and document any changes or concerns
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques and equipment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help clients with household tasks, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry
- Escort clients to appointments or social outings
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to the appropriate supervisor
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately
- Familiarity with working in a care home setting is a plus
- Proficient in English language
