Editorial Content Coordinator – 3-month FTC
Department Overview
A key department within Space NK, the marketing department are responsible for creating campaigns that engage current customers and drive new customer acquisition. The department consists of three teams: marketing and events, content marketing and digital marketing.

Role Purpose
The Copy & Editorial Content Coordinator reports to the Copy & Editorial Manager, working closely with the rest of the Content Marketing team, Marketing team and wider teams across the business.

The role is responsible for coordinating key SEO content projects that will improve Space NK's organic visibility to support customer acquisition and traffic targets from natural search. The Editorial Content Coordinator will coordinate projects, create content briefs including SEO recommendations, support in the creation of SEO copy, coordinate implementation, and support with communicating actions and performance to key stakeholders within the business.

Alongside SEO projects, the role also includes writing and proofing copy across social channels, digital partnerships, events, emails.

Main Responsibilities

  • Writing copy for various marketing channels across the business according to the briefs
  • Work cross-functionally to coordinate the delivery of key SEO brand optimisation projects including creating timelines, briefing Commercial, Social and Digital Content teams, coordinating implementation and communicating actions and results across the business
  • Conducting keyword research and competitor analysis to shape content briefs and plans with the goal of creating optimised content to improve ranking position and overall traffic performance
  • Use data-led approach to inform and create SEO optimised content across the website
  • Create high quality SEO content along with strong backlinking and metadata optimisation.
  • Support in maintaining the SEO sprint planner, prioritising and adjusting timelines of projects based on business needs and commercial opportunities
  • Using project management tool ) to brief teams, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Support in reviewing completed articles before they are published to ensure each one is optimised to achieve the top spaces in the major search engines and that spelling and grammar are accurate
  • Use a data led approach to identify areas of opportunity and help the business make commercial decisions
  • Build seasonal, evergreen or trend-based content plans and strategies
  • Support in monitoring performance of organic search including branded and non branded queries, responding to fluctuations in traffic or rankings with meaningful actions and responding to relevant Google algorithm updates.

Key Skills

  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • The ability to create high quality written content that engages customers whilst conforming to SEO requirements
  • Previous experience as a copywriter, content coordinator or a similar role
  • Previous experience in the SEO content creation process
  • A natural curiosity and enthusiasm for SEO practices and how this can be implemented in the beauty industry
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent time management
  • A problem-solving approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate and influence effectively to all levels of the business
  • The ability to prioritise, use initiative and perform under pressure
  • A proactive and flexible approach
