Your Role

Oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of data visualisation and analytical applications, ensuring they meet stakeholder needs and deliver data-driven insights. Responsible for managing the delivery and operations of the Linklaters data visualisation and analytics applications. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to create user-friendly visualisations, manages the performance of solutions, and promotes a data-driven culture through training and self-service processes. 

  • Oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of data visualisation and analytical applications, ensuring they meet stakeholder needs.  
  • Defines the product vision aligned with the firm data platform and overall architecture roadmaps. Manages the product backlog   
  • Creates and oversees a sustainable framework, analytics roadmap, and approach that delivers data-driven insights and reporting.  
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics needs, designing comprehensive solutions.  
  • Manages the delivery of analytics and reporting in accordance with requirements, estimated velocity, or agreed service level agreements.  
  • Monitors and optimises the performance of visualisation and analytical solutions, proposing improvements to address bottlenecks.  
  • Promotes a data-driven culture through training support, development, and implementation of self-service processes, ensuring compliance with data quality and governance.  
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key technology vendors to ensure access to the latest visualisation tools and features, enhancing the Firm's analytical capabilities.  
  • Leads a high-performing team, developing and implementing team goals and providing guidance to enhance team performance.  

About You

  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining data visualisation and analytical solutions, ideally within a complex, fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong technical proficiency with leading data visualisation tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik) and a solid understanding of their latest features and best practices. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver a comprehensive analytics roadmap, from initial concept to sustainable frameworks and ongoing improvement. 
  • Skilled at collaborating with diverse stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable reporting and analytics solutions. 
  • Track record of managing the delivery of analytics projects in line with agreed requirements and service level agreements. 
  • Ability to diagnose, monitor, and optimise the performance of dashboards and analytical applications, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks. 
  • Experience detecting and resolving data quality or anomaly issues, working with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and availability of key solutions. 
  • Commitment to promoting a data-driven culture, including effective support, training, and implementation of self-service analytics processes. 
  • Confidence in developing and maintaining relationships with technology vendors to ensure the organisation benefits from the latest tools and developments. 
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience developing, guiding, and motivating high-performing teams to achieve ambitious goals.
