Design Coordinator / Design Interface – Liverpool
Excellent opportunity to move from a Design consultancy into Design management for a Tier 1 main contractor in Liverpool
Salary -
£55,000 - £60,000 basic + £6,000 Car or Allowance + 15% Bonus
Locations –
Liverpool
Hybrid working, but a minimum of 3 days a week on site in Liverpool
Role Description
The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a Tier 1 contractor to deliver infrastructure projects across the UK. With an opportunity coming up in their Transportation division to work under an Engineering Manager in delivering a package of works worth £50m over the next 3 years.
Responsible for the management, coordination and integration of Rail Stations from the roof, canopy's, Power, Lighting, Foot bridges, Lift installations, Platform extentions etc..
The Design Coordinator is a Project Manager for the design team, interfacing with both internal and external stakeholders. Taking a lead in meetings to ensure the design process is being delivered correctly, with any modifications undertaken, recorded and updated across the systems and associated stakeholders.
Day-to-day duties will vary, but could include:
- Coordinates with design teams and other relevant parties to gather information on coordination documents that show interface clashes with third parties.
- Monitor and manage interface management, communicating any technical issues related to interfaces from the Design to the Delivery teams.
- Participate in resolving any technical issues related to system integration.
- Takes part in internal workshop/design review meetings.
- Conducts design review meetings and drafts the minutes.
- Follows up with stakeholders to ensure milestones are being achieved on time.
- Ensure the work is being carried out in accordance with the agreed-upon designs and specifications from the client, as well as the contractual terms.
This is a site-based role, working out of the site offices a minimum of 3 days a week, with 2 days a week from home or as required by the business. This is a perfect step from a consultancy into a main contractor, gaining more site-based experience to enable you to gain chartered status.
Required Experience
- Degree qualified, Ideal in an Engineering subject.
- Post-graduation experience in a UK-based consultancy or contractor, Ideal Rail focused
This is a great role for someone interested in moving away from hands-on Design or working in a consultancy environment, and wants to deliver a project on-site.
