A fabulous opportunity has arisen with a leading financial institution who are seeking a talented Sanctions Specialist to join the Sanctions Advisory team in London.
This is a key role within a leading financial institution, providing expert sanctions advice across multiple jurisdictions and business lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide sanctions advisory across business lines, ensuring compliance with sanctions regimes.
- Advise on legislation and sanctions regimes (UN, EU, UK, US) and anti-bribery matters.
- Apply deep subject matter expertise to provide practical, risk-based sanctions guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct assessments and deliver clear, accurate recommendations
- Maintain market-standard record keeping
- Communicate risk insights effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Develop procedures to support sanctions compliance
- Produce risk assessments for new and existing exposures
- Enhance the financial crime framework
The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of US, UK, EU economic and anti-terrorism sanctions laws and regulatory expectations. Strong understanding of international sanctions risk management standards and industry best practices. As well as proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders across regions, with confidence in delivering complex advice in high-stakes scenarios.
