Contract Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Wigan Job Type: Contract Company Overview A manufacturing site is looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join on a contract basis. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident working in a fast-paced food or FMCG environment. Key Responsibilities Respond to breakdowns and ensure machinery is back up and running quickly Carry out planned maintenance across the production area Fault-find on both electrical and mechanical issues Work on equipment such as dicers, weighers, bagging machines, fryers, and conveyors Keep maintenance records up to date and maintain safe working practices at all times Requirements Multi-skilled engineer with strong electrical and mechanical skills Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG environments Level 3 engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent Ability to work independently and start quickly Shift Pattern Rotating early and late shifts Monday to Thursday Shorter Friday shifts Contract Details This is an ongoing contract, ideal for an engineer who can hit the ground running in a busy production environment.
