HGV Class 2 Driver – Skip and RoRo Work People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Rugby, Warwickshire .Learn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.Shifts • Monday to Friday – 06:00 to 15:00 • Optional Saturday – 06:00 to 11:00 Rates of Pay • £17.30 per hour (basic) Benefits • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • On-site canteen • Training provided • Immediate start • Paid breaks Day-to-Day Duties As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to): • Working on a schedule of Skip or RoRo jobs, all within a 45-minute drive from the Rugby operating centre • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Essential Skills To be successful as a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need: • A valid UK Category C licence • A minimum of 2 years' experience driving Category C vehicles • No more than six penalty points (minor infringements only) • A valid UK CPC card and Digi card • Good spoken and written English • Punctuality and excellent time-keeping • Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations • Effective communication skills • Experience with Skip and RoRo vehicles Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience • Knowledge of Rugby, Coventry, and surrounding areas Training Provided • Driver assessment must be completed before starting • Training provided on RoRo or Skip if you are only familiar with one system Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a HGV Class 2 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more. xpwpeyx People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.d02fcfcb-6df4-40ee-95cf-3eb059ce3173
