The best run DevOps teams in the world choose Perforce.Position Summary:Chris Allen, Manager of Professional Services for the Puppet at Perforce, is searching for a Professional Services Engineer to join the team. We are looking for an individual who is a blend of DevOps Engineer, Client-facing Consultant, Puppet trainer, and Pre-Sales Engineer. It's a tremendous opportunity to be at the leading edge of automation trends and to see how companies in every industry approach automation or utilize our products.Requirements:Ability to manage time and projects effectivelySolid experience working with Puppet Enterprise or Puppet Open Source (Puppet 4 or more recent)5+ years of experience in software DevOps, Systems Administration, Automation, or Network InfrastructureAbility to travel up to 10% domesticallyStrong programming background with Unix &/or Linux SysAdmin or DevOps, including automationStrong customer relations & presentation skills - able to speak well in front of an audience and with customersExcitement about working with the Puppet Enterprise and Open-Source communityPassion for problem-solvingExcellent time and project management skillsTechnical degree (CS/IT/Eng/ITSec) or equivalent experienceExperience working with clients and internal resources in face-to-face, telephone, and virtual meetings; able to work as part of a teamLogical reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions and approachesPuppet Certification is a plusPreferred but not required: Programming skills (Ruby, Python, Go, etc.), Windows systems administration, large-scale infrastructure experience, knowledge of data center management, systems management, monitoring, networking & security, professional services experience in open-source/enterprise softwareResponsibilities:Work directly with customers to design and implement solutions that improve software delivery speed and reliabilityDeliver Puppet training and workshopsAssist in keeping training materials up-to-dateProvide pre-sales support to Sales & MarketingDevelop, publish, and maintain Puppet modules and productsDevelop and promote integration and tooling around PuppetContribute blog posts and communication for PuppetCollaborate with R&D and Product Management on Puppet productsCome work with us Our team members are valued, given new opportunities, and rewarded well.
